Review posted here - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...I have no words to express how much I adore this book so I have no idea how to start this review other than to say it was EPIC! If I had thought the first book was amazing, it again was nothing compared to this - which far surpassed it.I adored this 2nd instalment, Shea is really coming into her own and you can tell with her ability to judge situations, she is using her knowledge for the benefit of the group now and that shows a maturity that she didn’t have in book one. I still appreciate the little stories that guided her along and helped her when she got into bad situations but I think she didn’t need those as much now. You can see her blossoming even more into who she is meant to be, becoming more assertive & willing to take risks - I loved her characters progression. Same with Galen, he was such an enigma in book one, permanently angry and dour and whilst he does spend a lot of time in this book, like that – he is also going to change in a massive way, giving us a glimpse at the person he once was & could possibly be again. I seriously loved the progression of Galen, honestly, the turn about was great and I adored the connection it brought between him & Shea. He clearly becomes the love interest in this but don’t expect a smooth ride with the new & improved Galen, Shea is about to be dealt some huge information that could halt their feelings even before they start. The story progression is just great, the threats & battles are amped up and it feels like danger is always around the corner. Enemies are everywhere and it’s like Shea is heading to the point where she won’t be safe anywhere because word has spread about her & the biggest bad guy in the realm now knows of her existence. Not only is the action amped up but also the discoveries about her life keep coming thick and fast, some of which leave you open mouthed and understanding why some secondary characters are either willing to lay their lives down for her or want to kill her. You will discover that Shea has become a key player in a prophecy, no longer the naïve country girl that lived in the woods, there are expectations of her but whether she chooses to accept her fate is entirely up to her, for one decision could change everything. I would say that this book changes a lot of things in this story, a fair bit of enlightenment is too be had & Shea isn’t the only character that has to go through change and step up to the mark. All I want to do is fan girl & tell you everything that went on but I won’t, I will tell you that this, again, is EPIC Fantasy at its best, be prepared for an edge of the seat read, filled with danger at every turn, where potential is just being realised, prophecy is being revealed, not everyone is who they appear to be & a tentative romance is just about to blossom that left me breathless, needing it to happen. I love this book, it left me speechless (which believe me, is a feat) I love this series, I NEED it to be made into a movie and I am so desperate for more. Please give this series a chance, I couldn’t urge you enough – it is truly EPIC!!PS. Thankyou to Kaiya Hart for gifting me this book for winning one of her competitions – You rock!

I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am, not in this book but that for now it has ended. I absolutely love this story. Superb storytelling and world building. Mythology is a love of mine and the blend within this book just sets my world on fire!I got lucky when Tim Mann introduced me to the story of Inisfail and luckier still that having finished book one Morrigan's Harvest book two was available, I tried making it last as long as I could because I know three might be a long time coming. To Kaiya Hart, you have a gift! For those days when you feel your muse has deserted you, she hasn't she's just taking the scenic route. For so long as you keep pen in hand she will be there for you and I shall be reading.

Excellent The story line continued from the first book kept me hooked from the time I picked up this book to the last page. Anyone that has ever like books such as The Lord of The Rings will most certainly love this series. Especially young readers as this is a very easy book to read.

I was given a copy of “The Broken Tomb” for review. I was really excited to read this one after I read “Morrigan’s Harvest” (Book 1). The first thing I noticed was the pretty cover and it gave me a better sense of what Shea looks like. Shea and Galen continue their journey to rescue Tamerick and a whole bunch of new characters are thrown into the mix. The story is full of elves, goblins, harpies, dragons, and so many other creatures. It started off rather slow for me but because I like the characters I continued reading. In “Morrigan’s Harvest,” I had the sense that there was more to Shea and Galen’s relationship and when I hit about the 40% mark, I really got interested. I love me some romance and Kaiya threw some in but damn was it frustrating. Shea and Galen would just about reach a romantic stage and then…NOT!!! You have no idea how many times I “Grrrred” while reading. I felt like their mission to save Tamerick was placed on the back burner for most of the story. Some of the legends and stories went on too long and I skimmed over them to hurry back to the present dialogue. I was sure Kaiya was going to write a heartbreaking ending but she ended it on a hopeful note so I can only wait to see where she takes the story now. I give “The Broken Tomb” 3/5 stars. Although I enjoy these characters and the story, it took me a long time to get to a point where I couldn’t put it down. I will of course read on in this series because I must know how it ends.
