Check out my blog for other reviews: The Butterfly ReaderAoi just wanted to give the school prince a piece of her mind for rudely turning down her best friend's - Moe - confession. That little encounter leads us down the long road in this wonderful manga. After Shuusei knows who she is, he discovers that they are also neighbors in their apartment complex. Much to Aoi's dismay. But it gets worse! After she defends Shuusei from some creepy stalker girls and decides to cook in his apartment, the stove catches on fire and ruins his apartment. Which means... he's going to be moving in with her and they are going to live together while his is getting fixed. She tries hard to keep it from Moe that they are living together. Not wanting her best friend to think ill of her but it comes out anyway... Not to mention, Aoi just might be falling for Shuusei...This manga is so cute. I'm so picky when it comes to manga. I only like certain art styles and if a plot line is too far out there then I just can't. Not of that matters in this one as the art style is stunning! I don't have any complaints at all. Just praise for the art and it's lovely. Also the plot line is believable for the most part because it's contemporary. This is a long manga and not all the volumes are out yet, so if that bothers you, wait a little while before getting into this manga but I don't mind to wait for each volume. Overall, I think this is going to be a cute series filled with laughter, drama, and heartwarming moments and that's exactly what I need right now.

First of all I have to comment on the art, really nice indeed!! Now the story was okay, different from the movie (thankfully) and a bit strange for a classic school life shoujo to have so much sexual content, but still its fine. I don't really like the male lead, he's clearly taking advantage of Aoi and he plays with her but it's tooo early to tell.

VEDREMO...

This was okay. It was hot and steamy between the two from the first chapter. I thought it was good that she's pretty gutsy. I do however, get a little annoyed by her later on, because she acts stupidly, though when you think about it, it is logoically. But whatever. It's still good, cute, okay plot, lovely little romance.I really love the first couple of volumes, they are so funny! I also like the chemistry, but after, I get a little bored, though that's not to say it's not good, of course!

*fans myself* The manga that started the kabedon craze!!And this is why the original works almost always beat the adaptation! I present LDK, Living, Kitchen, Dining...Love? a work I didn't expect to like this much. But the live action is pretty good too!!!Aoi Nishimori is living by herself and enjoying her independence when her best friend, Moe, is turned down cruelly by the school Prince, Shusei Kugayama. Like any best friend would do, Aoi confronts him. She hates him and to her horrror, discovers he's her new neighbor. To make things even worse, events make it so that Aoi and Shusei are forced to cohabit. If you're worried that friends are swept under the rug in favor of romance, I wouldn't worry. Moe understands that she doesn't stand another chance confessing and realizes how much Aoi has done to keep their friendship strong: living by herself instead of transferring when her family must move. And keeping the secret of living with Shusei so not to hurt her.Thankfully, this manga deals with the complexity of feelings. Moe still likes Shusei but loves Aoi and wants her to finally do something for her happiness. She knows that Aoi is developing a crush on Shusei despite her efforts to hold onto that hatred she'd had.But Shusei isn't a jerk. He has another side to him and when Aoi discovers this, she feels horrible for letting him creep into her heart. At first I was worried since she was falling for him in the first chapter, but think about it. Us girls talk about our crushes all the time and if one is particularly hot, they unconsciously leave a mark on our thoughts. So it's understandable that Aoi would be feeling a little hot under the collar for Shusei since he's been a big part of her conversations with Moe. Especially since they're trapped in a room together and they can both be themselves. And I have to admit, a lot of some of these scenes made me blush. I don't know how Aoi could remain so collected in some of these haha, because dang. Shusei has a way with the ladies. ;)It's simple, it's cute, it's not original. Just seeing that these two are forced to live together no doubt bring to mind some classics:Itazure Na Kiss Love in TokyoMarmalade BoySo basically, if you can put up with this setting and are okay with just a fun, and simple story, you're set! Just beware that the content is a little more mature than the standard shojo. There's nothing sexual in it, but I think this might be a smut title later on as the series continues.Recommended! I bought this and don't support scans.

Oh Jesus what is up with these Shoujo's I am reading lately. They are all centering around an abusive male love interest and an spineless heroines. In this case heroine is mad at the soon to be love interest because he rejected her friends love confession. And then certain things happen and they end up living together and she starts going googly eyed for him. And this all happens within a chapter. UGH!!!To say this guy is an ass is an understatement. He has no concept of personal space. Has no idea what "no" means, and continually almost assaults our heroine. And our heroine just goes along with it because she wuves him. No. NO. NO!! this is not sexy this is scary. This manga also seems to suffer from absent parent syndrome. Siblings who are way to physical to the heroine. And I mean his siblings, her brother was awesome. And of course the Tsundere character who just can't help be an asshole. Doesn't everyone know you can be Tsundere and not be an asshole. Just pass on this.

If you’re like me and like reading romantic, sappy and silly but funny shōjo manga, where the male lead is a popular school hottie (all the girls want to be with him, and all the boys want to be him) and kind of a jerk, but has also a different, more caring and loving side that he (occasionally) only shows to one particular girl, then this might be just the right manga for you.

★★★★This review is a review for the whole series. If you are fond of complicated relationships and is patient, then you can probably handle this kind of manga. There are lots of teasing parts that can make you excited and/or annoyed. The L♥DK manga series follows Nishimori Aoi, a high school student who lives in an apartment by herself. You might find her way of thinking rather...stupid or she's just like that in general. (⌒▽⌒) She has a strong sense of curiosity and she is strong and passionate at heart. Because of her curiosity, she appears like a pervert in the books. (*≧▽≦)ノシ)) She easily trusts people. I wonder if her parents taught her to "don't trust strangers"?Then here's Shuusei Kugayama, the prince of the high school Aoi goes to. He's self-conceited, selfish, and reserved. He always turns down confessions--including one from Aoi's best friend. Although she initially hates him for this, when Shuusei moves in next door to Aoi, who lives alone, she starts thinking that he might not be such a bad guy after all. He's carefree but unpredictable. Wherever he goes, he attracts attention. He's clever...and maybe a pervert(?). Shuusei's a little dense too and has a strong self-control.Fate brings them closer, literally. Shuusei temporarily lives with Aoi because have to find out for yourself. You might predict what would happen to two people with the opposite gender but this manga is different. Most of the volumes kept me entertained. Some of them, I had to endure reading but overall, I liked it. I almost loved it, in fact. There were awkward situations and there were very funny ones too! (。 >艸<)The manga art is very beautiful I like the backgrounds/settings, and they were very detailed. Shuusei always wore a poker face but, as the story progresses, bit by bit, he shows more facial expressions. Perhaps, that's part of the story(?) I forgot to mention the character building! I love that too~I recommend it to people who are somewhat patient. You don't have to be though. XD

My first time reading Magna ^_^ it is a recommendation of a friend and i really thank her... 1- The plot is pretty interesting; Moe is such a brave girl and caring towards her friend and Shuu who seems to be arrogant is not exactly so! I loved how their feeling developed through living together ... 2- the painting is also very well done and it is not confusing. I'm excited to see next Vol ^_^ Recommended ;)

Errrr it was a pretty stereotypical shoujo manga though I guess it was an okay read so I'm giving it a chance. The guy is kinda annoying though cause he seems to be using the girl... But I've been struggling to find a shoujo manga as good as HnR. I probably shouldn't give up that easily then.

I loved this manga! It reminded me greatly of "Good Morning Call" the Japanese television from Netflix that was i self a manga that I believe was never translated into English. But this one somewhat follows the same idea and pattern. Cute and fun, I liked it.

I liked the first volume of this and will be starting volume 2 ASAP. I just felt like our main female character went a little over the top at times with her reactions, hence the three star instead of four, but I still kinda like her. He seems pretty cool.Off to start the second one now.

SummaryAoi is a young high school girl living by herself in an apartment, making it on her own so that she can continue to attend the high school where all of her friends are even after her family has moved for work relocation. In the prime of her sophomore year, the school "prince", basically the hottest guy in school, moves in next door. Aoi cooks for Shusei out of hospitality but then accidentally sets his stove on fire turning on all the sprinklers which ruins his apartment. Since his apartment will need repairs and will be unlivable for the time being, Shusei makes the decision to live with Aoi to make up for ruining his apartment instead of having her pay for the repairs. Living with the "prince" sounds like a dream come true, but Aoi actually does everything she can to hide the truth from her best friend Moe, who has fallen for Shusei but was rejected by him. Aoi also doesn't want the other girls at school to find out that she is living with him for fear that the girls' jealousy and lust for him will drive them to harass her. All of the girls in the school would be so jealous to have what Aoi has, but Aoi continues to reject him and keep him away from her to protect herself and her heart. Shushei says girls are annoying because not one of them truly tries to get to know him, but he doesn't mind Aoi because he doesn't think she will fall for him. But as Aoi continues to live with Shushei she starts to get to know his true personality and is afraid that she is falling for him too. Will she just be another fan girl or could this be the start of something real?My RatingA solid 4 starsMy Rationale:I honestly was not expecting this story to be as good as it was because it's so teenage love and so high school and I've been out of that scene for many years now, but I was very pleasantly surprised with this series and can't wait until the other books are released in American book retailers. What I find so intriguing about the story is not the fact that the two live together while they are so young, but that Shushei remains a mystery. Sometimes he acts like a total player, just how you would think the hottest guy in school would act with all of that attention. He kisses Aoi, grabs her, holds her hand, even glues himself to her side with handcuffs...the nerve of that guy! He constantly teases her to see how she would react, and you think he does it just to push her buttons. But then there are other times where he legitimately says something that makes you think he actually likes her like "you look cute," or "I just wanted to go out on the town with you" or even "I enjoyed being with you." Just like Aoi we are all trying to figure out his deal. But the thing is, will Aoi get wrapped up in him too without knowing if his feelings are truly sincere?

I've never been quite so baffled in my life. How did thisthing become so popular? It copies other manga like Maid-Sama! And gets away with it. The big difference is though that those other shojo manga make you feel happy. They're a guilty pleasure. A break from reality. This was just creepy.Basically this guy forces himself upon this simpering girl who admits in her consciousness that "he's harassing me!" But instead of getting help she's claims she ' loves ' him. Of course you see why he's such a prat in his ' dark ' past, which isn't even that dark! So yeah the two are asshats with little to no personality. The other characters are mostly bland. I initially really liked her neighbour but the author made him creepy to make the main turd look better. The art wasn't that outstanding, the dialogue was very silly and the whole thing had a really creepy aura to it which reminded me of the infamous Hush, hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. My eyes just glazed over at the final chapters but I know that she ends up with him despite her fathers initial disgust.Stars:1Ages: quite a bit smuttier than other manga. The only problem is,is that with other couples you blush when they hold hands in this you feel nothing so 15+

Not at all original but, surprise-surprise, I actually enjoy the "strangers-living-together" kinda trope. Honestly, it provides the best kind of hijinks.Character-wise, I like them! Shusei needs to respect private boundaries a little more, but that's the only problem I had with any of the characters.Let's see what happens in the next volume. :)
